Exploding Head Syndrome

I think I have it.

http://bodyodd.msnbc.msn.com/archive/2010/02/17/2204845.aspx

“While sleeping or dozing, a person with the condition hears a terrifically loud sound in their head, such as a bomb exploding, a clash of cymbals or a gun going off.”

“It’s usually described as a loud bang or pop that occurs in the first third of the night. “It’s a sensory phenomenon. The individual senses that some type of explosion has occurred nearby, but ultimately realizes it’s in their head.”

Ever happen to you? This used to happen alot a few years ago, and once only a week ago. A loud BOOM snaps me awake - like a bomb just went off in my backyard. It sucks, but at least I know what it’s called now.
